Foster Agency North London

Fostering is a rewarding job that transforms lives of children and young people. It is great to see the look of joy on their faces when they have a positive experience and find stability in their lives. It is important that all foster carers are well supported and have their needs met so they can continue to provide the best possible care. Fostering can also be very challenging at times, however it is always worth the effort when you see a young person blossom and achieve their goals in life.Check Out:

Can I get a bigger house to foster UK?

Foster Carers in London can join National Fostering Group, who have offices in London South and Croydon. They are a well-established agency that covers a diverse area of the city and have a strong small family agency ethos. They have a high number of long-term placements and offer excellent training.

All foster carers will have a formal review at least once every year. The supervising social worker will write a report and present it to the fostering panel for a recommendation. Where the review results in a proposal to change a foster carer’s approval, or where the decision is that their approval should be terminated, a letter of notification and reasons must be sent to them within 7 days. They will have the opportunity to make representations against the decision to the fostering panel and to request a review by an Independent Review Panel under the Independent Review Mechanism.

At UK Fostering we take the opinions of our foster carers very seriously and are keen to act on their recommendations. We hold monthly support groups and quarterly meetings with foster carer representatives where senior directors attend and take action to address any issues that are raised.
